Reality Tv Series 'meet The Rees Moggs' To Offer Exclusive Insight Into Controversial Politician's Life

Discovery+ U.K. and Ireland has announced the commission of a new reality TV series titled ‘Meet The Rees-Moggs,’ produced by Optomen. The show aims to provide viewers with an exclusive and behind-the-scenes look into the life of former Conservative politician Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg.

The series will delve into the personal and professional life of Rees-Mogg, offering a glimpse into his daily routines and interactions with his family. Set in Somerset, the program will showcase the dynamics within the Rees-Mogg household, including his wife and six children.

Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg, who faced defeat in the recent U.K. general election against Keir Starmer‘s Labour Party, has long been a polarizing figure in British politics. Known for his staunch conservative views and unapologetic stance on key issues, Rees-Mogg has been a controversial figure both inside and outside Parliament.

The show’s announcement has drawn comparisons to the involvement of other politicians in reality TV, such as Nigel Farage‘s appearance on ITV‘s ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ The decision to feature political figures in entertainment programs has sparked debates about the portrayal of politicians in the media.

‘Meet The Rees-Moggs’ is set to air on Discovery+ later this year, offering audiences a unique perspective on the life of a prominent public figure. The series was commissioned by Charlotte Reid for Discovery+ and executive produced by Warner Bros. Discovery. Nick Hornby, from Optomen, will serve as the executive producer for the show.
