Remembering Atal Bihari Vajpayee

On August 16, people across India took a moment to remember former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on the anniversary of his passing. This day not only honors his memory but also reflects on his considerable contributions to the country.

At a memorial event in Delhi, President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and other notable leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party gathered to pay their respects. It was a solemn occasion held at the ‘Sadaiv Atal’ memorial, which is dedicated to Vajpayee.

Among those present were Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, along with BJP President JP Nadda. The atmosphere was filled with remembrance as they reflected on the ideals and vision Vajpayee shared during his time as a leader.

Vajpayee, who passed away in 2018 at the age of 93 after a long illness, served as Prime Minister of India three times. His birthday, celebrated on December 25, is recognized as ‘Good Governance Day’, a testament to his enduring legacy.

In a country where he was revered for his oratory skills and leadership, Vajpayee’s impact continues to resonate with many, making occasions like this a chance for reflection and unity among his admirers.
