36 Tallai Drive Tallai Property

A serene haven awaits in a hinterland home at 36 Tallai Road, Tallai, ready to go under the auction hammer. Following a comprehensive renovation, this residence now features modern amenities such as a multipurpose tennis court, a swimming pool, and a food forest, all nestled within over 6000 square meters of landscaped gardens. Situated conveniently close to Robina and the M1, this property offers sweeping views of the Gold Coast skyline.

According to the owners, Elissa and Gary Semaan, the property offers an escape from the hectic pace of urban life. “At that stage it was quite dated but had these fabulous high ceilings, views and an outlook,” Elissa Semaan recalls of their initial purchase in 2019. The couple saw potential in its position and embarked on a major renovation to realize their vision.

Gutting the interior and rearranging the floorplan, the Semaans aimed to create an ideal family home for their four children, incorporating light-filled spaces with natural sunlight. “We wanted it to be light and bright with lots of natural sunlight,” Elissa added. The renovation has resulted in a spacious five-bedroom home that includes a triple garage, media room, and central living areas that maximize available views.

The property’s design focuses on seamless indoor-outdoor flow, promoting entertainment and gathering spots. The kitchen and dining areas extend to outdoor spaces equipped with a pool and firepit, perfect for hosting large family events. “Because of the way it’s designed, there are lots of little breakout spaces,” Elissa noted, expressing satisfaction with hosting up to 120 guests without a sense of crowding.

The outdoor areas offer diverse activities with a covered alfresco area, viewing deck, and a sports-functional tennis court. Gary Semaan’s passion for basketball inspired the addition of a basketball hoop, a volleyball net, and marked courts to serve multiple sporting needs.

Sustainability forms a cornerstone of the property, with investments in large water tanks and solar energy, complemented by a food forest, vegetable patch, and edible gardens. “We started planting the food forest even before we moved in,” Elissa revealed, sharing how her husband enjoys harvesting fruit from the gardens on Sundays.

Completing renovations just before the pandemic, the Semaans have enjoyed the property’s offerings. “It was perfect timing,” Elissa remarked. The location is optimal, within easy distance of shopping centers, schools, and the renowned Gold Coast beaches, offering residents a balance of serenity and accessibility.

The property is listed with Brad Coyne of Kollosche and is set to be auctioned on October 11, presenting a rare blend of luxury and nature to potential buyers.
