Riot Games Launches 2XKO with Teemo and Warwick Available
Los Angeles, CA – Riot Games has launched the highly anticipated tag-based fighting game 2XKO, releasing patch 1.01 on October 6, 2025. This update marks the beginning of Season 0 and introduces two playable champions: Teemo and Warwick.
The new patch also brings significant updates including character balance adjustments, Combo Trials, and new stages like Bandlewood Crossing and Firelight Run. A Training Mode Frame Data Bar feature will help players improve their game with better visual feedback.
Each season of 2XKO will introduce a new champion starting with Season 1. Players can unlock characters through several means, including completing Recruitment Events which allow them to earn the new champion for free by redeeming Battle Pass XP.
New champions will be available in Training and Offline modes without prior unlocking. The patch confirms that all Closed Beta players will receive the “Closed Beta Boss” title once Early Access begins. This title may take up to a week to appear in players’ accounts.
Additionally, the game’s Credits cap has increased from 10,000 to 12,000, addressing player feedback on resources. The initial fetch of characters will cost either 1,000 KO Points or one Champion Token, but once the three-week window passes, the character price increases to 10,000 Credits.
Riot Games plans to release the full game on consoles, including PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game will feature cross-platform progression so players can continue their game seamlessly on different platforms.
The early access launch offers an Ultra Starter Pack, including new skins for characters inspired by a popular animated series. The game’s ranked matchmaking system has been adjusted for fairer play, although it may result in longer queue times.
Excited fans can explore the game today, starting with its early access phase. Teemo and Warwick are waiting for players to unlock their potential in the vibrant world of 2XKO.
