Savannah Film Festival’s TV Sidebar to Feature Horror, Drama, and Comedy Series

Savannah, GA — The Savannah Film Festival will host its second annual TV Sidebar from October 25 to November 1, showcasing three new series across the horror, drama, and comedy genres.
This year, the festival will feature the HBO Original series creepshow prequel ‘IT: Welcome to Derry,’ a missing-child drama from Peacock starring Sarah Snook, and HBO’s comedy ‘I Love LA,’ led by Rachel Sennott.
The festival will honor Emmy nominee Dakota Fanning with the Outstanding Achievement in Television Award on November 1. “We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Deadline for the TV Sidebar, which has quickly become a highlight of the SCAD Savannah Film Festival,” said Christina Routhier, the festival’s executive director.
The TV Sidebar will include screenings of each series followed by conversations with the creators and cast. Antonia Blyth, Executive Editor of Awardsline at Deadline, will moderate these discussions. The event kicks off with a Halloween screening of ‘IT: Welcome to Derry,’ featuring Q&A sessions with director-executive producer Andy Muschietti and executive producer Barbara Muschietti, who developed the series for television.
‘IT: Welcome to Derry’ premieres on October 26 on HBO and HBO Max. Other executive producers include Jason Fuchs, Brad Caleb Kane, David Coatsworth, Bill Skarsgård, Shelley Meals, Roy Lee, and Dan Lin.
The festival will also host the screening and panel for ‘I Love LA’ on October 31. This series, created by Sennott, follows an ambitious group of friends navigating life in Los Angeles. The post-screening Q&A will feature Sennott along with cast members Odessa A’zion, Josh Hutcherson, and True Whitaker, with Jordan Firstman also starring. The show is set to premiere on November 2.
Finally, the TV Sidebar concludes on November 1 with ‘All Her Fault,’ created and written by Megan Gallagher. The series revolves around a mother, played by Snook, whose young son mysteriously disappears, leading her on a gripping quest for the truth. Other cast members include Jake Lacy, Michael Peña, Sophia Lillis, Abby Elliott, Daniel Monks, Jay Ellis, Thomas Cocquerel, Duke McCloud, and Kartiah Vergara.
