Several Schools and Districts Implement 2-Hour Delays Due to Weather Conditions
On Wednesday, November 20, 2024, several schools and districts across various regions in the United States have announced 2-hour delays due to weather conditions. In the Newburgh area, Balmville School is operating on a two-hour delay schedule, with school buses arriving to pick up students two hours later than the usual time.
In Ohio, multiple school districts have also implemented 2-hour delays. Schools such as Anthony Wayne, Arcadia, Archbold, and Ayersville are among those affected by the delayed start times.
These delays are primarily attributed to weather-related issues, including periods of rain and isolated downpours in some areas. For instance, the Capital Region experienced rain and isolated downpours, particularly north and west of Albany, which may have contributed to similar delays in that area.
Parents and students are advised to check the official school websites or local news outlets for the most up-to-date information regarding school schedules and any further updates on delays or closures.
