The Script Concert

Renowned pop-rock band The Script is set to perform in North Wales next summer as part of their Satellites UK Tour. The Irish group will headline the Live at Llangollen Pavilion in 2025, marking their performance for Thursday, July 3. They will be accompanied by special guest Tom Walker, a celebrated BRIT Award winner.

Tickets for the performance are scheduled to go on sale at 10am on Saturday, September 28, accessible via their official website. The Script, comprised of Danny O’Donoghue (vocals), Glen Power (drums), Ben Sargeant (bass), and Ben Weaver (guitar), first gained fame in 2008 with their debut album, which included popular tracks such as “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved” and “Breakeven.” Since then, they have secured six number one albums, becoming a staple in the pop-rock music scene.

The evening promises a blend of new music and fan favorites, expected to delight concert-goers as The Script performs in Llangollen for the first time. Tom Walker is known for his hit song “Leave a Light On” and his debut album “What a Time to Be Alive,” which topped the UK Albums Chart. His unique sound is anticipated to enrich the event further, adding to the night’s anticipated excitement.

The announcement is part of an ongoing collaboration between the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod and event promoters Live Nation’s Cuffe and Taylor. In a statement, Peter Taylor, co-founder of Cuffe and Taylor, expressed enthusiasm for the continued partnership following a successful year with the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod. “A headline show with The Script is a great first announcement, and we will be revealing even more big-name artists very soon,” commented Taylor.

Adding to the excitement, Dave Danford, Artistic Director of the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod, noted, “2024 was an amazing year for us, and we’re really excited about all of the artists we’re planning to bring to North East Wales in 2025.” He expressed that The Script, with their significant popularity, are an ideal choice for their first summer announcement.
