Seahawks Vs Patriots 2024

FOXBOROUGH—The Seattle Seahawks are facing significant injury-related challenges as they prepare for their Week 2 game against the New England Patriots. Running back Kenneth Walker III and right tackle George Fant have been ruled out after being listed as doubtful in the injury report.

Kenneth Walker III and George Fant both sustained injuries during Seattle’s Week 1 victory over the Denver Broncos. Fant left the game early in the first quarter with a knee injury, while Walker injured his oblique later in the match. Stepping up in their absence, Zach Charbonnet is expected to start at running back, and Stone Forsythe will assume the role of right tackle.

The Seahawks will benefit from the presence of starting linebackers Tyrel Dodson and Jerome Baker, who had been listed as questionable but are now confirmed to be active. Also missing from action due to injuries are outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu and tight end Pharaoh Brown, who were unavailable last week as well.

To bolster their lineup, the Seahawks have promoted running back George Holani and tackle McClendon Curtis from the practice squad. The game at Foxborough will mark Holani’s NFL debut, after joining the team as an undrafted rookie from Boise State.

In terms of roster shifts, rookie center Jalen Sundell is active and will serve as the backup for Connor Williams, while Olu Oluwatimi will not play.

The Seahawks departed the Virginia Mason Athletic Center on Friday, September 13, 2024, setting out for their upcoming game against the Patriots. The full list of inactive Seahawks players reflects the team’s strategic adjustments amid the injury concerns.
