Seattle Reign Hosts Bay FC in Final Homestand

SEATTLE, WA — Seattle Reign faces Bay FC at 7:30 PM tonight at Lumen Field. This match is critical for Reign, who have yet to defeat Bay FC in NWSL play.
The teams have met three times in their history. Bay FC won both matches last season, while they drew 1-1 in their encounter this past April. During that match, Racheal Kundananji scored for Seattle, but Bay’s Jordyn Huitema equalized shortly after halftime.
Bay FC comes into the game struggling, winless in their last 12 matches and only collecting four points in that span. Last weekend, Bay was officially knocked out of playoff contention after a 2-1 defeat to Portland. Head coach Albertin Montoya has announced he will resign at the end of the season.
If Seattle wins tonight and gets help from other games, they could secure a spot in the 2025 NWSL playoffs. The Reign sit in 5th place with a record of 9-7-7. They have a goal difference of +2.
In terms of injuries, Seattle will be without Lynn Biyendolo (knee), Ryanne Brown (leg), Veronica Latsko (lower leg), Sally Menti (lower leg), Cassie Miller (leg), and Olivia Van der Jagt (excused absence). Conversely, Bay is missing Abby Dahlkemper (maternity leave), Onyeka Gamero (knee), Melissa Lowder (knee), and Emily Menges (maternity leave).
The officiating crew includes referee Matt Thompson and assistant referees Noah Kenyawani and Kendall McCardell. The match will be broadcasted on Fox 13+ and NWSL+ with commentary from Steve Schlanger, Laura Schott, Kelyn Rowe, Jessica Charmin, and Jordan Angeli.
Fans can watch for free in the U.S., and highlights will be available as the match progresses.
