Las Vegas Severe Weather Alerts

LAS VEGAS, Nevada — Severe weather is impacting the Las Vegas Valley Friday evening as storm systems sweep in from the southwest to the northeast. The Channel 13 weather team is actively monitoring the situation, providing updates on weather alerts, power outages, and flight delays.

As of 6:30 p.m., officials from NV Energy reported ongoing efforts to tackle power outages caused by high winds and heavy rain. Residents are advised to stay indoors and avoid unnecessary travel until conditions improve.

The Federal Aviation Administration has also noted flight delays at McCarran International Airport due to the inclement weather, with airlines advising passengers to check their flight status before heading to the airport.

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada is working closely with local officials to monitor road conditions and provide updates on any closures or hazardous situations. Commuters are urged to use caution and plan accordingly.

The Channel 13 team will continue to provide real-time updates as more information becomes available throughout the evening.
