Parts of Illinois and Arizona experienced severe weather on Sunday evening, prompting multiple warnings from the National Weather Service.

In Illinois, areas including DeKalb, Sycamore, and Sandwich were under a tornado warning until 10 p.m. Central portions of the county were also affected, with severe thunderstorms moving eastward, capable of producing tornadoes and extensive wind damage.

Residents were urged to seek shelter immediately, as flying debris and potential damage to roofs, windows, vehicles, and trees posed significant risks.

Additionally, a flash flood warning was issued for the mentioned Illinois areas until 1:30 a.m. Monday, with adjacent locations like Maple Park, Campton Hills, and Elburn also impacted.

Meanwhile, in Arizona, the Tucson region faced severe thunderstorms, leading to Tornado Warnings for the Catalina Mountains and Summerhaven area, as well as the Marana area near I-10.

The storms in Arizona caused power outages for thousands, uprooted trees, and brought intense hail alongside heavy rainfall, triggering Flash Flood Warnings across the area.

This severe weather outbreak was documented by Scripps Media, Inc., monitoring and reporting on the weather events in both Illinois and Arizona.
