Shiv Sena Leader Shot Dead During Facebook Live in Mumbai
A shocking incident unfolded in Mumbai as a prominent leader of Shiv Sena (UBT) party, Abhishek Ghosalkar, was shot and killed during a Facebook Live session in the Dahisar area. The tragic incident occurred as Ghosalkar was addressing his audience along with Mauris Noronha, also known as Mauris Bhai. The whole event was captured live on Facebook.
Ghosalkar, the son of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Vinod Ghosalkar, had a history of enmity with Mauris Noronha. Surprisingly, the Facebook Live session was intended to convey a message of reconciliation and ending their bitterness for the betterment of the area.
However, as Ghosalkar concluded his speech and prepared to leave, Noronha suddenly opened fire and shot him three times. The disturbing incident was recorded on the Facebook Live stream.
In a tragic turn of events, Mauris Bhai took his own life immediately after shooting Ghosalkar. The motive behind the attack is said to be rooted in personal enmity.
Following this shocking incident, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has demanded the resignation of Maharashtra Deputy CM and Home Minister, Devendra Fadnavis.
This is not the first incident of political violence in the region. Recently, a BJP MLA named Ganpat Gaikwad shot Shiv Sena leader Mahesh Gaikwad inside the cabin of a senior police officer at the Hill Line police station in Ulhasnagar. The confrontation between the two politicians and their supporters arose from a long-standing land dispute. Shiv Sena MLA Rahul Patil was also injured in the incident.
