Solo Leveling Anime Movie News

LOS ANGELES, CA — A new report suggests that a movie adaptation of the popular anime series Solo Leveling is in the works. The announcement follows the success of current anime films like Demon Slayer and Chainsaw Man. Solo Leveling has recently surged to become Crunchyroll’s most popular anime ever.

While details remain unofficial, sources indicate that some reliable leakers, including RANSCPP, have confirmed the project. They believe that the film could be ready for release in the second half of 2026. However, other reports do not provide a specific release date.

The potential movie could serve as a bridge for fans, given that the show’s third season is not expected until at least 2028. Given the tremendous financial success of the Demon Slayer movies, which collectively raked in over $1 billion, there’s high anticipation for how much Solo Leveling could earn.

Fans have shown a strong desire for more from the franchise while waiting for new seasons. The previous movies, Mugen Train and Infinity Castle, earned $486 million and $670 million, respectively. Even the less-liked Chainsaw Man Reze Arc found an audience, making $141 million.

However, some experts believe the 2026 release date is overly ambitious, given that production for such a film would typically need significant time to begin. RANSCPP specifically mentioned that production has not started yet.

On a related note, Netflix is developing a live-action version of Solo Leveling, which has already cast its lead characters. No official release date has been announced for that project. The studio hopes it will capture the same success as other live-action adaptations, such as One Piece.

While the plans for a Solo Leveling movie are plausible, the timeline appears challenging. An official announcement may take months, but further leaks could emerge in the meantime as fans eagerly await updates.
