Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2 Release Date

Tokyo, JapanSony mistakenly revealed details about the upcoming Title Update 2 for Monster Hunter Wilds on its official PlayStation website. The leak provided a release date of June 30, along with information about new content that will be included in the update.

Initially, the game’s webpage revealed details about two new monsters, layered weapons, and events slated for the update. Among the monsters, Lagiacrus, an underwater leviathan, was confirmed, while Seregios is speculated to make an appearance as well, based on datamines.

Although the webpage has since been rolled back, it previously confirmed the addition of the Arch-Tempered Uth Duna. Gamers can expect to see the latest details during Capcom‘s showcase on June 26 at 3 PM PDT, where more information about the update is anticipated.

Game director Yuya Tokuda recently shared hints about the improvements coming with the update, mentioning quality of life enhancements such as better navigation in the Grand Hub and adjustments to the photo mode. Players are particularly excited about the introduction of layered weapons, which allow for customization of weapon appearances without altering their stats.

Monster Hunter Wilds has proven to be a massive success since its release in February 2025, selling 8 million copies within three days and earning the title of the fastest-selling Capcom game.

In response to the leaks, fans have expressed a mix of excitement and concern, particularly regarding the game’s optimization issues. Many users have pointed out graphical problems that detract from the overall experience.

Despite these concerns, Monster Hunter Wilds continues to build a dedicated fanbase with ongoing updates and events, ensuring that players have new content to explore and classic monsters to hunt.
