Star Health Insurance has achieved a significant milestone with an upgrade in its credit rating from India Ratings and Research (Ind-Ra). The company’s Long-Term Issuer Rating has been elevated to ‘IND AA+’ from ‘IND AA’, with a maintained Stable outlook.

This development marks a recognition of Star Health’s consistent profitability, established market leadership, and extensive distribution network. Furthermore, the company’s subordinated debt has also been upgraded from ‘IND AA-‘ to ‘IND AA’.

In a related move, Care Ratings recently assigned Star Health Insurance a credit rating of ‘CARE AA+’ with a Stable Outlook, acknowledging the firm’s financial reliability and operational achievements.

The rating upgrades are significant in the financial sector, reflecting investor confidence and potentially enhancing the company’s borrowing capacities, thereby benefiting their growth and expansion plans.
