Steelers Sign Offensive Lineman as Training Camp Heats Up

Pittsburgh, PA – The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed offensive lineman Broeker off waivers from the Buffalo Bills, according to Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News. Broeker was released by the Steelers on August 8 as the team continues to shape its roster ahead of the preseason.
Head coach Mike Tomlin announced the roster changes during a press conference earlier today. “We’re working hard to get the right mix of talent in every position as we prepare for the upcoming season,” Tomlin said.
The Steelers are currently engaged in training camp at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA, where they are preparing for their first preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars this Saturday.
Fans are eager to see how the newly signed lineman will fit into a lineup that is already undergoing significant changes. The team made several moves this offseason to improve both offense and defense.
<pAdditionally, the Steelers are focusing on their younger players, particularly unproven wide receivers who have captured the attention of fans during camp. One receiver, unnamed in reports, went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft and signed with the Steelers soon after.
As training camp progresses, Steelers players are looking forward to the opportunity to showcase their skills against teams outside of their own. This Saturday’s matchup against the Jaguars will mark the beginning of a season that many hope will lead to a playoff berth.
