Stevie Nicks The Lighthouse Single

Stevie Nicks returned to the music scene recently with her latest solo single, “The Lighthouse.” In a display of the enduring loyalty of her fan base, the song has made an immediate impact on the U.K. charts. Released a little more than a week ago, “The Lighthouse” has already appeared on multiple charts, becoming a quick, albeit minor, hit.

“The Lighthouse” has debuted on the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts in the U.K., securing the No. 48 spot on both rankings. This dual placement is not unusual, as both charts are determined by pure sales figures, which are largely driven by downloads from platforms such as iTunes and Amazon.

This latest entry marks Nicks’ second solo hit within the Official Singles Sales chart, following her 2020 success with “Edge of Seventeen,” which peaked at No. 7. “The Lighthouse” also represents Nicks’ fourth win on the Official Singles Downloads chart, surpassing the No. 72 position held by Deep Dish‘s “Dreams” and the No. 98 peak with “Show Them the Way.”

Within the context of its rivals, “The Lighthouse” stands as the fifth-highest debut on the Official Singles Downloads chart, trailing releases by artists such as Kylie Minogue, Callum Beattie, Jack Savoretti and Miles Kane, and Josh Baker. On the Official Singles Sales list, Nicks earns the position of the sixth top entrant, with entries by The Veronicas also making a mark with “Untouched,” a single that charts for the first time despite being years old.

Notably, “The Lighthouse” was released with an inspiring message, aiming to spark discussions about women’s rights and abortion. For now, the track is a standalone release, not yet connected to a larger forthcoming project.
