Oasis Reunion Tour 2023

Streaming giants are reportedly engaged in a fierce competition to secure the rights for a documentary about the much-anticipated reunion tour of the iconic British band, Oasis. The Gallagher brothers, Noel and Liam, who were at the forefront of the band, are set to make a significant financial comeback, amassing an estimated £400 million from a planned series of stadium concerts across the United Kingdom and Ireland.

According to an unnamed source who spoke to The Sun on Sunday, several major streaming platforms are vying for this high-profile project. “This is set to be the film of the decade,” the source noted, highlighting Apple TV+’s aggressive pursuit. “Apple TV+ is proposing huge money to bag the rights to this documentary.”

Apple TV+ faces stiff competition from industry heavyweights including Amazon Prime and Netflix. “They are facing competition from other streamers such as Amazon Prime and Netflix but Apple have thrown all their weight behind this one,” the source added.

The documentary promises a level of insight comparable to Disney+’s ‘Get Back,’ which offered an intimate look at The Beatles. Rock fans are eagerly anticipating the reunion, with plans for concerts at notable venues, such as Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, generating significant buzz. There is also speculation about potential performances in the United States.

Apart from the documentary, the Gallagher brothers have reportedly negotiated numerous revenue streams related to their tour. Insiders have suggested that Noel and Liam could receive up to 50% of concession sales from their stadium shows. “It is not uncommon for top acts to get half of the bar and food take,” a source explained, emphasizing Oasis’s ability to draw large, enthusiastic audiences.

Furthermore, the siblings are believed to have secured merchandising and branding deals possibly exceeding £50 million. “It’s taken 15 years to get the warring brothers back together,” another insider explained, “There is every chance this could be their last hurrah, so everything’s getting monetized.”

The last performance of the Gallagher brothers together took place on August 22, 2009, at the V Festival in Staffordshire. The band disbanded shortly after Noel Gallagher announced his departure due to irreconcilable differences with Liam, following a backstage altercation at the Rock en Seine festival in France.
