Studio City House Fire Hillside Los Angeles

A fire erupted in a Studio City home Wednesday night, quickly spreading to nearby houses and brush, prompting an aggressive response from firefighters. The blaze began at approximately 8:52 p.m. at a four-story residence located at 3656 N. Sunswept Dr., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The flames engulfed the home and extended to surrounding vegetation, threatening additional structures. Firefighters shifted to a defensive strategy to contain the fire and prevent further spread. The stilts supporting one of the affected homes were destroyed, causing the structure to collapse onto the hillside.

Matthew Rodriguez, a digital producer for CBS Los Angeles, reported on the incident. Rodriguez, who has previously covered local news for outlets like the Argonaut and Pasadena Weekly, specializes in breaking news and crime coverage.

No injuries or fatalities have been reported at this time. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Residents in the area were advised to stay clear of the scene as crews worked to fully extinguish the blaze and secure the area.
