Prince Harry Meghan Markle Sussex Family Drama

LOS ANGELES, California — The rift between Prince Harry and his family appears to be widening, as insiders reveal increased tensions and controversies surrounding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Since relocating to California five years ago, Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly become more isolated from their royal connections.

Sources close to the Sussexes indicate that the couple rarely leaves their lavish Montecito mansion and maintains minimal communication with their relatives in Britain. Their previously close ties with Princess Eugenie seem to have deteriorated recently after she was seen with prominent critic Piers Morgan.

“A dim view was taken of this, as Piers has clashed with Meghan and Harry in the past,” an insider told The Sun. “Eugenie has been supportive of Harry and Meghan for years, but it has now soured.” Morgan’s history of criticism towards the couple includes vehement responses on social media, particularly following their 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey.

“Harry wants America and the rest of the world to hate his own family, hate the Monarchy, and hate his country,” Morgan stated via social media, underscoring the ongoing public fallout surrounding the Sussexes.

Meanwhile, at a recent charity event, a sudden appearance by Meghan Markle with tennis star Serena Williams caused unexpected chaos. Dr. Sophie Chandauka, chair of Sentebale, described the situation on stage as awkward. She indicated that Meghan’s unexpected attendance disrupted the planned flow of the event, which led to media scrutiny.

In an interview with Sky News, Dr. Chandauka explained, “We would have been really excited had we known ahead of time [Meghan was coming]. The choreography went badly on stage because we had too many people on stage.” The charity had been poised to celebrate its work, but the incident diverted attention.

The aftermath of the event saw Prince Harry request Dr. Chandauka issue a supportive statement regarding Meghan, which she declined. “Not because I didn’t care about the Duchess, but because I knew what would happen if I did so,” she stated, emphasizing that the charity should not be used as an extension of their agenda.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams reflected on the confusion surrounding Meghan’s appearance, noting that it impacts Harry’s reputation, especially within Sentebale, a charity he co-founded in memory of his late mother, Princess Diana.

Dr. Chandauka further characterized Harry’s presence as potentially damaging, claiming that allegations related to a bullying investigation had created a toxic atmosphere within the charity. She asserted that Sentebale remains committed to its mission, stating, “The team is resolved that Sentebale will live on, with or without you.” A source close to former Sentebale trustees dismissed her accusations as “completely baseless.”
