Thalapathy Vijay Political Rally Tamil Nadu

Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay has formally entered the political arena with a powerful and contentious speech at the inaugural rally of his party, the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), in Vikravandi, Tamil Nadu. The event, held on Sunday, drew a massive crowd and marked a significant milestone in Vijay’s transition from cinema to politics.

In his speech, Vijay criticized the ruling DMK government, accusing them of engaging in underhand dealings and cheating the people in the name of the Dravidian model. He alleged that the current administration is involved in underground dealings and uses accusations of fascism to deceive minorities.

Vijay also addressed his decision to leave the Tamil film industry to pursue a career in politics. He acknowledged that he has given up the peak of his career and a substantial salary to dedicate himself to his political ambitions. “I have thrown away the peak of my career and I have thrown away the salary.. I’m here as your VIJAY with a trust on you all…” he said, emphasizing his commitment to his new role.

The TVK party, which has already seen success in local body polls, aims to present a new political ideology rooted in anti-caste and secular values. Vijay’s vision includes uniting Dravidian and Tamil nationalism, as symbolized by the party’s flag and anthem.

The rally and Vijay’s speech have garnered mixed reactions from other political parties. While the Deputy Chief Minister Uday Nidhi Stalin welcomed the rally, the BJP expressed mixed reactions to Vijay’s entry into politics.
