D4vd’s Tour Dates Canceled Amid Investigation into Decomposed Body Discovery

LOS ANGELES — The final two dates of singer d4vd’s U.S. tour have been canceled along with multiple stops in Europe as authorities investigate the discovery of a decomposed teenage girl’s body in Los Angeles. Police have not confirmed if d4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, is implicated in the case involving Celeste Rivas Hernandez, 15, who was reported missing last year.
Reports indicate a vehicle linked to the investigation was registered in d4vd’s name, but details regarding ownership remain unclear. As of now, his representatives have not responded to inquiries from the media.
D4vd’s concert in San Francisco scheduled for Friday has been marked as canceled, and his last U.S. performance set for Saturday in Los Angeles was also removed from the venue’s site and marked canceled on Ticketmaster. Additionally, a sold-out appearance at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles this Wednesday was removed from the venue’s website.
The singer, who began his North American tour in early August, was scheduled to begin his European leg in October. At least nine of his European events have been pulled from Ticketmaster, including his first performance in Norway on October 1. Some shows in Sweden, France, Poland, and his December tour in Australia are still available for purchase.
Since rising to fame with the hit song “Romantic Homicide” which peaked at No. 4 on Billboard’s Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart, d4vd has gained popularity among Gen Z listeners, blending various music styles. His first full-length album, “Withered,” was released in April.
An unnamed representative for d4vd stated the artist is cooperating with authorities in the investigation. The reasons behind the impounding of his vehicle remain unclear, and the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office reported that Rivas’s body was found in a severely decomposed state, with the cause of death still undetermined.
