Donald Trump Rally Michigan April 2025

WARREN, Michigan — President Donald Trump celebrated the completion of his first 100 days in office during a rally at Macomb Community College on Tuesday. He declared this milestone marked the ‘most successful first 100 days of any administration in the history of our country.’ Despite the enthusiastic crowd, Trump’s approval ratings faced significant challenges.

Trump’s address came as he underlined his administration’s achievements while acknowledging the tough work that remains. He had already set into motion some controversial tariffs, warned by auto executive analysts to potentially raise car prices significantly.

On the same day, a report suggested that Amazon might pass on tariff hikes in its marketplace, which frustrated Trump. Amazon later clarified that the plan was merely a proposal and not set to be implemented.

According to a recent CNN poll, Trump’s approval rating stands at 41%, the lowest for any president at this early stage. His handling of the economy is rated even lower at 39%—a career low.

During the rally, Trump expressed optimism about his administration’s agenda, stating, ‘We’ve just gotten started. You haven’t even seen anything yet.’ He praised former President Joe Biden and made comments about Vice President Kamala Harris that drew cheers from his supporters.

As he looks ahead, Trump’s administration is focused on a budget and tax plan deadline in July. His speech touched on economic concerns but highlighted his contentious tariff policies aimed at revitalizing American manufacturing.

Trump claimed that his policies would encourage automakers to return to the U.S. He asserted, ‘You finally have a champion for workers in the White House,’ emphasizing his commitment to putting American interests first.

He touted his hardline immigration stance as a key accomplishment while casting doubt on the rights of people entering the country illegally. In a subsequent ABC interview, Trump mentioned the need for different legal standards for such individuals.

While rallying support for his approach to tariffs and taxes, Trump also claimed to have ended Biden’s electric vehicle mandates, though no federal regulations currently restrict gasoline-powered car purchases.

Trump concluded the rally with a rallying call: ‘We will never back down. We will never surrender. We will fight, fight, fight and we will win, win, win together.’
