Donald Trump Holy Week Message 2025

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In a Palm Sunday message delivered on April 13, 2025, President Donald Trump affirmed his administration’s commitment to defending the Christian faith across various sectors of American life. This message coincides with the beginning of Holy Week, a period significant to Christians as they commemorate the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

“This week is a time of reflection for Christians to memorialize Jesus’ crucifixion—and to prepare their hearts, minds, and souls for His miraculous Resurrection from the dead,” Trump stated in his address. He highlighted that the Holy Week begins with Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem and reaches its culmination in the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday night.

Trump’s remarks emphasized the importance of acknowledging Christ’s sacrifice, saying, “In His final hours on Earth, Christ willingly endured excruciating pain, torture, and execution on the cross out of a deep and abiding love for all His creation.” He added, “Through His suffering, we have redemption. Through His death, we are forgiven of our sins. Through His Resurrection, we have hope of eternal life.”

In a move to solidify the administration’s posture on religious issues, Trump announced new initiatives, including the establishment of a White House Faith Office aimed at promoting Christian values in schools, military, and other public domains. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt highlighted this as a fulfillment of a promise to millions of Christians across the nation.

Pastor Paula White, who is a senior advisor to the White House Faith Office, confirmed that the administration is preparing for significant observances during Holy Week. White stated that the Easter season will receive “the observance it deserves,” including an Easter dinner hosted by Trump and a staff worship service on Holy Thursday involving prayer and scripture.

Addressing the public from Air Force One, Trump emphasized the resilience of faith in American life, saying, “May God bless you and your family during this special time of year and may He continue to bless the United States of America.” His personal comments were echoed by supporters who celebrate the administration’s emphasis on Christian values.

This year marks a poignant reflection point for Trump, especially following his recovery from a July 2024 assassination attempt during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. Despite the challenges, Trump has consistently asserted that he was “saved by God to Make America Great Again,” amplifying his message of faith and resilience.

As Holy Week progresses, Trump is expected to release more content celebrating Easter, which falls on April 20 this year. With the establishment of the White House Faith Office and upcoming events aimed at celebrating the Easter season, the administration seeks to emphasize the significance of faith in American society, aligning political rhetoric with religious observance.
