Trump to Visit Fort Bragg for Army’s 250th Birthday Celebration

FORT BRAGG, N.C. — President Donald Trump will visit Fort Bragg on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, to participate in celebrations marking the Army‘s 250th anniversary. Trump will address thousands of soldiers and their families during a military demonstration aimed at showcasing the capabilities of today’s armed forces.
The event marks Trump’s second trip to North Carolina this year and follows his previous visit shortly after his inauguration. During the visit, Trump will observe a readiness demonstration featuring paratroopers and military equipment.
Fort Bragg was renamed back to its original name on March 7, 2025, now honoring Pfc. Roland L. Bragg, who served in World War II and was awarded both a Purple Star and a Silver Star. Prior to this change, the installation was named Fort Liberty as part of a broader initiative to remove names associated with Confederate figures.
The June 10 event will include live demonstrations, musical performances, and remarks from senior military leaders such as Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and the Secretary of the Army. It is part of a series of activities leading up to a military parade on June 14, which falls on Trump’s 79th birthday.
Trump has been outspoken about his disapproval of the name change from Fort Bragg to Fort Liberty, indicating his intention to restore the name during a campaign rally in Fayetteville last year. As part of the celebrations, Fort Bragg troops will also participate in the June 14 parade in Washington, D.C.
