Dr Tshepo Motsepe: The Accomplished First Lady by President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Side
On the day of President Cyril Ramaphosa‘s inauguration for his second term, the spotlight shone brightly on the accomplished First Lady, Dr Tshepo Motsepe, who stood proudly by his side at the Union Buildings in Pretoria.
Clad in a stylish silvery rose-patterned ensemble, Dr Tshepo Motsepe exuded grace and elegance as the inauguration ceremony, led by Chief Justice Raymond Zondo, unfolded.
After the presidential oath was signed by Ramaphosa, a heartwarming moment ensued as he walked over to Dr Tshepo Motsepe for a tender kiss, sparking a social media frenzy and showcasing their bond.
Dr Tshepo Motsepe, born in Soweto and raised in Mathibestad in the Northwest province, hails from a prominent family background, with siblings including billionaire Patrice Motsepe and Bridgette Radebe.
She holds a medical degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a Masters in Public Health from Harvard School of Public Health, highlighting her dedication to healthcare and education.
Marrying President Ramaphosa in 1996, Dr Tshepo Motsepe became the First Lady, stepping into roles as the chairperson of the Cyril Ramaphosa Foundation and patron of various organizations, including the Early Care Foundation and the Students Sponsorship Programme.
Together, Dr Tshepo Motsepe and President Ramaphosa have three children named Tumelo, Kiki, and Mashudu; each carving their own paths in entrepreneurship and philanthropy.
Dr Tshepo Motsepe’s commitment to improving lives through education and healthcare is evident in her trustee role at the Hospice Association of the Witwatersrand and her support for individuals like Kgothatso Molefe in pursuing their educational dreams.
