As 2024 comes to a close, movie enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the plethora of films set to release in 2025 and beyond. The upcoming year promises to be a blockbuster season, especially after the disruptions caused by the SAG-AFTRA strikes in 2024.

One of the highly anticipated films is Captain America: Brave New World, scheduled for release on February 14, 2025. Marvel fans also have Fantastic 4 to look forward to, set to release on July 25, 2025. Directed by Matt Shakman, this film features a strong cast including Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Eban Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm. The movie is expected to kick off Phase 6 of the MCU.

In addition to Marvel’s lineup, DC is also gearing up for its new DCU. The year 2025 will see several other notable releases, including Minecraft on April 4, The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection on April 18, and Blade on November 7, 2025, starring Mahershala Ali as the Vampire Hunter.

Looking ahead to 2026, fans can expect big releases such as Christopher Nolan‘s next film and Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man 4, both scheduled for July 2026. Other notable mentions include Avengers: Doomsday on May 1, 2026, and The Batman – Part II on October 2, 2026.
