Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Exam 2024: Board Denies Paper Leak Amid Social Media Speculation
The recent Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Examination 2024 has been marred by social media speculation regarding a supposed paper leak, leading to widespread rumors among candidates and netizens. The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has promptly responded to these allegations, firmly dismissing any claims of a leaked paper.
As candidates eagerly await the results of the examination, which aims to fill 60,244 constable positions in Uttar Pradesh, concerns have arisen over the authenticity of the test and the fairness of the entire process. Netizens on platforms like X (formerly Twitter) have been circulating screenshots and discussions hinting at potential foul play and a leaked exam paper.
The UPPRPB issued a statement addressing the situation, revealing that initial investigations have revealed the misuse of platforms like Telegram to spread false information about a paper leak. The Board, in collaboration with the UP Police, is actively monitoring these incidents and conducting a thorough probe into the sources of the misinformation. The examination itself has continued without any disruptions or irregularities.
Prashant Kumar, Uttar Pradesh Police Chief, assured the public that the examination is proceeding smoothly and securely, despite the ongoing rumors and speculations. With over 48 lakh candidates participating in the exam, the board emphasizes its commitment to maintaining transparency and integrity throughout the recruitment process.
Furthermore, in a significant crackdown to ensure the sanctity of the examination, the UP Police have made multiple arrests and detentions in connection with exam cheating or attempts to cheat. Over the course of three days, a total of 244 individuals have been apprehended by the police, suspected of engaging in malpractices during the constable exam.
These arrests, which took place between February 15 and February 18, were carried out jointly by district police teams and units of the Special Task Force (STF), leveraging local intelligence to identify and apprehend individuals involved in cheating schemes. UP Police Chief Prashant Kumar reiterated that strict action would be taken against anyone found to be resorting to unfair means during the exam.
