Cult Leader '2baba' Allegedly Killed In Security Raid In Rivers State

Celebration has erupted in the Ahoada area of Rivers State following reports that a notorious cult leader known as Gift Okpara, popularly called 2Baba, has been allegedly killed.

According to sources, 2Baba was reportedly shot dead during a combined security raid at the hideout of the Iceland cult leader and his gang in Idu-Ekpeye, Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers state on Saturday.

A senior police officer, speaking on the condition of anonymity, revealed that 2Baba sustained multiple gunshot wounds during the operation.

Although there has been no official confirmation of 2Baba’s death, residents in Ahoada have been seen celebrating following the news of the feared cult leader’s demise.

In a tragic event in September 2023, a Divisional Police Officer (DPO) was ambushed and captured by a cult group allegedly headed by 2Baba in the Odiemudie community of Ahoada East LGA. The gang then took the DPO to the forest where they brutally killed and dismembered him.

As of the time of this report, police authorities have not yet verified the alleged death of 2Baba in the security raid.
