Victoria Beckham Teases Spice Girls Reunion During Interview

NEW YORK, New York – Victoria Beckham, known as Posh Spice from the iconic 90s girl group the Spice Girls, hinted at the possibility of a reunion during a recent interview with Andy Cohen and John Hill on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live. The interview, set to air on October 28, features Beckham discussing her new Netflix documentary.
During the conversation, Beckham was asked about the likelihood of a Spice Girls reunion, especially in light of other bands like Oasis reuniting. “It’s tempting,” Beckham said when asked about a residency at The Sphere in Las Vegas. She expressed her excitement for the idea but was realistic about her singing abilities. “I mean I don’t know if I could even still sing. I was never that great!”
Reflecting on her time in the Spice Girls, Beckham noted that it helped build her confidence. “Before I was in the Spice Girls, I was so self-conscious and they made me feel good enough,” she shared. However, she also expressed ambivalence about performing again, saying, “As fun as it is, it’s not ultimately what I want to do anymore.”
The last time Beckham performed with the Spice Girls was at her 50th birthday party in London, where the group sang an impromptu mini-set. This comes years after the band’s last formal performance together during the 2012 London Olympics.
The Spice Girls formed in 1994 and quickly became a global sensation with their debut single, 1996’s “Wannabe.” The hit topped charts worldwide and the group enjoyed immense success, with multiple number-one singles and albums. However, they took a hiatus in 2000 and have reunited several times since, with Beckham missing the last two tours.
In addition to discussing the possibility of a reunion, Beckham talked candidly about her personal journey in the fashion industry, asserting that while her time with the Spice Girls was significant, she has found her true calling in fashion. “I’ve been so defined by that four-year period in the Spice Girls. I’m so proud to say I was a Spice Girl, but I’ve been fighting those preconceptions for almost two decades now,” she said.
As fans eagerly await Beckham’s further comments and the airing of her interview, excitement about a possible return for the Spice Girls grows.
