Warm Temperatures Return to Southern California This Weekend

LOS ANGELES, California — Temperatures are starting to rise again across Southern California as a ridge of high pressure moves into the region. Most areas will enjoy a warm Friday before a new low pressure system arrives this weekend.

In Los Angeles and Orange counties, Thursday’s forecast calls for a high of 74 degrees and a low of 57. Friday promises a jump in temperature, reaching 81 degrees, but residents should prepare for another cooldown over the weekend.

The valleys and Inland Empire will see a high of 80 degrees on Thursday, with a low of 52. The temperature is expected to rise to 88 degrees on Friday before settling back into the low-80s for the weekend.

At the beaches, Thursday brings morning clouds followed by afternoon sunshine. Expect a high of 68 degrees and a low of 58. Mountain areas will experience windy conditions with a high of 60 degrees. Nighttime temperatures in the mountains will drop to a chilly 29 degrees.

Desert regions will have a high of 79 degrees and a low of 48. Notably, Palm Springs is projected to reach a steamy 90 degrees.
