New England Weather Forecast September October

CONCORD, N.H. — This week’s weather forecast shows unusually warm and dry conditions will continue throughout New England, following a pleasant and sunny weekend. Temperatures are expected to rise in the mid- to upper 70s during the week, with the possibility of reaching 80 degrees in some areas, according to local meteorologists.

After a warm Sunday, cool air will arrive on Monday morning, which is expected to drop temperatures to the 50s at sunrise. However, the warmth will return by the afternoon with many regions seeing highs in the 75 to 80 degree range. Notably, it has not topped 70 degrees in Boston during the final days of September since 2020, with the average being in the upper 60s.

Mid-week will bring slightly cooler temperatures, staying in the 60s on Wednesday and Thursday, before a warm front returns for the weekend, pushing highs back into the 70s and 80s.

Forecasters also noted that a major storm currently in the South Atlantic could create rough surf along the New England coast mid-week, although no significant impacts are forecast.

In Massachusetts, weather will feature sunny skies with temperatures hitting the mid-70s. Rhode Island can expect highs in the mid- to upper 70s with some clouds. New Hampshire will see highs near 80 on Monday before cooling slightly mid-week.

Meanwhile, health officials in New Hampshire have announced that vaccinations for flu, RSV, and COVID-19 are available statewide. They encourage residents to stay current with their immunizations as flu season approaches.

“These vaccines help prevent serious illness,” said Iain Watt, director of the N.H. Department of Health and Human Services’ Division of Public Health. “We encourage people to speak with their health care providers about recommended immunizations.”
