Warm Weekend Ahead for Central Florida with Upcoming Cold Front
ORLANDO, Fla. – Warm and sunny weather is expected across Central Florida this weekend, with temperatures reaching the upper 70s and low 80s. The pleasant conditions are due to high pressure bringing warm air into the region.
This weekend’s weather is ideal for outdoor activities, including the annual Pop-Tart Bowl game at Camping World Stadium, which kicks off at 3:30 PM. Nonetheless, residents and visitors should be cautious of patchy dense fog overnight and potential hazardous rip currents and large swells at the beaches.
According to local forecasts, nighttime temperatures will dip to the mid-50s, but sunny skies will prevail during the day. A fading cold front will pass through just before sunset, resulting in increased winds and clouds.
Looking ahead, a strong cold front is set to arrive on Monday, bringing a significant shift in temperatures. As 2025 comes to a close, lows are forecasted to drop into the 30s and 40s, with highs only reaching the 50s and 60s on New Year’s Eve. Weather alerts have been issued for these colder temperatures, which may affect New Year’s celebrations.
The FOX 35 Storm Team forecasts that the upper 30s could potentially challenge the northernmost counties, like Ocala and Gainesville, where cold weather advisories may be necessary as the week progresses. Overall, the shift from warm to cold marks an interesting end to 2025.
