Wegmans Cucumber Recall Salmonella

Wegmans, a popular grocery store chain, has initiated a recall of its Bulk Seeded Cucumbers due to potential Salmonella contamination. The recall affects cucumbers that may bear an individual PLU sticker #4062 with the “SunFed” logo on them.

Consumers are advised not to consume the recalled cucumbers and to either discard them or return them to the store for a full refund. Wegmans has already removed the affected product from its shelves, and the cucumbers currently available in stores are not part of the recall.

The recall is a precautionary measure to protect consumers from the risk of Salmonella infection. For more information, consumers can contact SunFed’s Consumer Recall Hotline at (888) 542-5849, available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (MST).

This recall is not isolated to Wegmans, as the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has also issued a recall notice for SunFed brand whole fresh American cucumbers in Canada due to the same potential Salmonella contamination.
