Zero Hedge Site And Karoline Leavitt

WASHINGTON, D.C. — White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt welcomed Liam Cosgrove, a journalist from the far-right website Zero Hedge, to the press briefing room on Monday.

Cosgrove used his time to press Leavitt on the topic of Jeffrey Epstein during a session where he raised the ‘Clinton body count’ conspiracy theory, which suggests that prominent figures associated with the Clintons have died under suspicious circumstances. He specifically mentioned the death of Mark Middleton, a former aide to Bill Clinton.

During the briefing, Cosgrove asked, “When can we expect the next phase of documents related to Epstein’s case? Will they include connections to intelligence agencies?” In response, Leavitt directed him to the Department of Justice for further updates.

This unusual interaction raised eyebrows, particularly given Zero Hedge’s reputation for circulating conspiracy theories. Leavitt smiled when Cosgrove initiated the question related to the conspiracy theory surrounding the Clintons and Epstein.

In recent weeks, President Trump also shared a video on social media that revisited conspiracy allegations against the Clintons, further fueling speculation. The video claimed the Clintons had a hand in several deaths over the years.

Leavitt assured the press that Attorney General Pam Bondi would release the promised documents on Epstein, although she did not provide a specific timeline.

As press briefings adapt to include a wider range of media representatives, critics express concern over the normalization of conspiracy discussions in official settings.
