U.S. Woman Shocks Fans by Traveling to India to Marry Instagram Love

New Delhi, India – A U.S.-based woman, Jaclyn Forero, has garnered widespread attention after traveling thousands of miles to marry Chandan Singh Rajaputra, a man from a remote village in Andhra Pradesh, whom she met on Instagram.
Forero, a photographer, and Chandan’s love story began 14 months ago with a simple message on social media. What started as an online interaction blossomed into a heartfelt romance, culminating in Forero flying to India to meet Chandan in person.
In an Instagram post, Forero shared, “14 months together and ready for a BIG new chapter,” alongside a montage documenting their journey. The video showcases snippets of their video calls and their emotional first meeting at the airport.
“I messaged Chandan first. From his profile, I saw that he was a passionate Christian man who knew theology,” she wrote in her video caption. Their shared interests in music, art, and photography fueled their connection over many months of conversation.
After eight months of dating online, Forero received her mother’s support to travel to India with Chandan. She expressed, “The odds were stacked against us, but God has been miraculously opening doors and providing for us each step of the way. Because he [Jesus] brought us together and he’ll see us through.”
The couple’s age difference of nine years—Forero is older than Chandan—is one of the topics that stirred reactions among their followers. Forero acknowledged mixed responses to their relationship, saying, “People have been everything from judgmental to supportive to rude to very positive, awkwardly silent and everything in between.”
Social media users have shown overwhelming support for the couple, with one commenter stating, “9 years is nothing. If you both are hearing from the Lord, then go for it. So happy for you both!” Another user shared their own similar experience, saying, “I met my husband online too. Seven months later, I was flying to India to marry him! It’s a crazy journey but so worth it.”
Forero and Chandan also operate a YouTube channel where they share moments from their relationship. Their channel bio reflects their unique journey: “A divorced Christian mother struggling to find love centered on faith meets a younger man on Instagram living in a remote village in Andhra Pradesh.”
Currently, the couple is in the process of applying for Chandan’s visa to start their new life together in the United States. Forero expressed excitement for the future, anticipating many adventures as they embrace their upcoming married life.
