WVTM 13 Launches Innovative First Warning Weather Brand

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WVTM) – WVTM 13 announced the launch of its First Warning Weather brand on Monday, aiming to better inform and prepare the community for changing weather conditions. Chief Meteorologist Jason Simpson emphasized the commitment to public safety, stating, “We’re dedicated to serving our community by keeping you safe and informed before, during, and after major weather events.”
The First Warning team plans to provide detailed weather reports that go beyond mere forecasts. Simpson explained that the goal is to give residents “the earliest heads-up about what’s coming” and to break down storm information specifically for local landmarks and streets.
The new brand underscores WVTM 13’s reputation for accuracy and transparency in weather reporting. The station has been recognized as the most accurate weather source in Central Alabama for eleven consecutive years.
