WWE SmackDown Thrills Fans Before Crown Jewel in Perth

Perth, Australia – WWE SmackDown delivered an exciting go-home show for Crown Jewel on Friday night. The event featured several matches, including Cody Rhodes addressing Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn‘s United States Championship Open Challenge.
Cody Rhodes kicked off the show with a warm reception from the Perth crowd. He spoke about his upcoming match with Seth Rollins at Crown Jewel, emphasizing that Rollins has never defeated him. Rhodes noted that while he enjoys being a leader, others, like Rollins, are just as capable.
Backstage, tensions rose as Chelsea Green approached Stephanie Vaquer, seeking to recruit her into her “Secret Hervice.” However, Tiffany Stratton intervened, asserting loyalty to Vaquer for that night’s match, while expressing that it would be every woman for herself the following night.
The action began quickly with Sami Zayn facing Shinsuke Nakamura in a high-stakes encounter. However, the match ended in chaos when the return of Tama Tonga and the MFT led to a disqualification, leaving both Zayn and Nakamura overwhelmed as Solo Sikoa stood tall with the faction.
In tag team action, Tiffany Stratton and Stephanie Vaquer faced off against Giulia and Kiana James. The duo managed to work cohesively, with Stratton delivering her finisher, the Prettiest Moonsault Ever, securing a win for her team.
The Wyatt Sicks defended their WWE Tag Team Championships against The Street Profits. Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis retained their titles after executing a successful double team move, known as The Plague, on Montez Ford.
The night concluded with a brutal Last Man Standing match between Aleister Black and Damian Priest. The fight escalated, with both competitors using various weapons and brawling throughout the arena. In a dramatic finish, Black launched a fireball at Priest before landing a Black Mass, resulting in Priest being unable to answer the referee’s count.
The event set the stage for tomorrow’s Crown Jewel, where titles will be on the line and rivalries will intensify.
