NFL kicker Brandon McManus has been let go by the Washington Commanders following legal action by two women who have accused him of sexual assault during a flight while he was playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Commanders made the decision to release McManus after the allegations emerged, stating that they take such claims seriously.

The lawsuit filed against McManus details incidents where he allegedly behaved inappropriately towards the women, who were working as flight attendants during a team trip to London in the previous year.

McManus, who previously played for the Denver Broncos in a successful career, signed with the Commanders earlier this year prior to these accusations surfacing.

The legal representation for McManus has refuted the allegations, claiming that there is evidence contradicting the accusers’ statements.

Both the Jaguars and Commanders organizations have pledged to investigate the matter further to determine the facts surrounding the allegations brought forward by the women.

This incident has caused McManus, a seasoned NFL player, to become a free agent once again as the legal process unfolds to address the claims made against him.
