High Volume Trading Spikes Share Prices of RCF, NFL, Suzlon Energy, FACT, HCC, YES Bank on NSE

Several stocks witnessed a surge in trading volumes on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) today, leading to significant gains in share prices. Among the notable gainers were Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd (RCF), National Fertilizers Ltd (NFL), Suzlon Energy Ltd, Fertilizers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd (FACT), Hindustan Construction Company (HCC), and YES Bank Ltd.

On the NSE turnover chart, HDFC Bank topped the list with a turnover of Rs 1,630 crore, followed closely by PNB Housing with Rs 1,618 crore, and FACT with Rs 1,478 crore. Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders also saw substantial turnover at Rs 947 crore.

Vodafone Idea Ltd shares dipped marginally by 1.77% to Rs 16.62, with a trading volume of 37,86,31,961 shares worth Rs 630 crore changing hands. GTL Infrastructure Ltd witnessed a 4.68% increase in its share price to Rs 2.46, with a trading volume of 17,11,19,677 shares valued at Rs 42 crore.

YES Bank Ltd shares saw a 1.32% rise to Rs 24.12 apiece, with a trading volume of 10,76,20,918 shares worth Rs 260 crore. Suzlon Energy Ltd recorded a 3.74% increase in share price to Rs 50.73, with 6,64,55,620 shares valued at Rs 338 crore changing hands.

HCC Ltd experienced a notable surge in trading volume, with 5,68,81,411 shares exchanged and a share price increase of 7.7% to Rs 51.20. Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd (RCF) witnessed a significant spike of 13.21% in its share price to Rs 209.69, with 4,92,91,674 shares traded.

Other stocks such as Shree Renuka Sugars, IDFC First Bank, NBCC, IRB Infra, and Zomato also saw substantial trading activity and price movements on the NSE today, reflecting the dynamic nature of the stock market.
