INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — WNBA star Caitlin Clark has invited actor Timothee Chalamet to attend an Indiana Fever game. Clark, a superfan of basketball, made the invitation after recognizing Chalamet’s constant presence at games during the Fever’s recent run.

Chalamet, 29, has been seen courtside and enjoying other basketball events. During a recent interview, Clark was asked which celebrity she would like to watch play. Without hesitation, she replied, “Timothee Chalamet. I think we’re going to get him to a game. He’ll be here.” Clark’s teammates also mentioned other celebrities like Michael B. Jordan, Serena Williams, and Justin Bieber, all known to support their favorite teams.

Clark herself is no stranger to high-profile sporting events. Earlier this year, she returned to Iowa to watch her alma mater play in college basketball and was recently seen at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Fever kicked off their 2025 season with a dominant 93-58 victory over the Chicago Sky. However, the game also featured an incident involving Clark and player NaLyah Reese. The two had a clash that resulted in Reese falling to the ground, prompting a response from teammates. Following the game, allegations surfaced that Reese faced racial abuse from Fever fans. The WNBA has announced they will investigate the claims, stating, “The WNBA strongly condemns racism, hate, and discrimination in all forms. They have no place in our league or in society.”

As the WNBA season unfolds, fans are eager to see if Chalamet will take Clark up on her invitation.
