FBI Offers $100,000 Reward for Info on Charlie Kirk’s Killer

PROVO, Utah — The FBI is offering a $100,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest of the killer of pro-Trump influencer Charlie Kirk. As of Friday, September 12, the suspect remains at large despite the reward.
Authorities held a press briefing Thursday evening at Utah Valley University, the site of the attack. During the 10-minute briefing, Utah Governor Spencer Cox announced plans to seek the death penalty for the assailant and praised law enforcement for receiving over 7,000 tips — a record number since the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013.
Investigators have conducted around 200 interviews, but according to Governor Cox, the investigation is at a standstill. “We cannot do our job without the public’s help,” he stated.
The situation has escalated scrutiny on the FBI’s handling of the case, particularly for its leader, who traveled from Manhattan after commemorating the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. During a visit to the crime scene, the FBI director appeared without any significant updates.
At the press conference, he remained silent, wearing an FBI jacket, and did not take questions. Detractors have noted his previous support for controversial claims surrounding the 2020 presidential election and alleged conspiracy theories.
The community and Kirk’s supporters are hopeful that the reward will draw new leads in the case, increasing the pressure on investigators to bring the killer to justice.
