Eli Manning and Glen Powell Clash in Chad Powers Promo
PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania – Eli Manning and Glen Powell are making headlines with a playful promotional video for their upcoming series, Chad Powers, debuting on Hulu on September 30, 2025.
The promo features Manning and Powell standing side-by-side, engaging in a lighthearted battle for the spotlight. Every time Powell begins to speak, Manning interrupts him with enthusiasm. “Sorry to interrupt, but it’s worth making special note of the star power behind Chad Powers,” Manning exclaims.
As the video continues, Powell tries to articulate his thoughts, but Manning interjects again, sharing a surprising confession about the origins of the series. “You see, when I first developed Chad Powers, I never expected it to have the far-reaching impact that it did,” Manning reflects. “And now, to have the opportunity to expand it to a series, it’s been the honor of my notable, acclaimed, and wide-ranging career.”
The friendly banter escalates when Powell cleverly reminds Manning of his sports legacy. “Oh, I’m sorry, how many Super Bowls did you win?” he asks. Powell counters with a personal anecdote, none too shy to share that his own athletic experience includes making a “varsity team,” which he later corrects to the “drama team.” “Drama team, but still,” Powell admits, eliciting laughter.
Manning responds with a chuckle, “That’s cute,” while playfully pinching Powell’s cheeks, confirming the camaraderie between the two. This engaging back-and-forth is all in good fun as they highlight their collaboration in bringing Chad Powers to life.
The show’s concept is based on a sketch from Manning’s series Eli’s Places, where he donned prosthetics to go undercover during walk-on tryouts at Penn State. Now, Glen Powell takes the lead as Russ Holliday, a collegiate quarterback whose dreams are dashed after a poor championship game performance. He tries to make a comeback by disguising himself as Chad Powers at another college.
<p.Powell and writer Michael Waldron have co-written the screenplay for the series, with the premiere set to launch with two episodes on Hulu later this month.
