Usc Trojans Football Team Injuries Update

LOS ANGELES, California – The USC Trojans will face the Michigan State Spartans on Saturday night without several key players due to injuries sustained in previous games. Running back Bryan Jackson, wide receivers Alex Graham and Zacharyus Williams, along with kicker Caden Chittenden will miss the match, as confirmed by head coach Lincoln Riley.

During a press conference, Riley revealed that Williams will be sidelined for a few weeks following an injury in the Trojans’ victory against Georgia Southern. Jackson and Graham have not played for two weeks due to undisclosed injuries. A few players, including Ja'Kobi Lane, are listed as questionable for the home opener at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Despite the obstacles, the Trojans remain unbeaten in the 2025 season following a 33-17 win over Purdue on Sept. 13. USC managed to secure its first conference victory in a game that featured a three-hour weather delay. This week, Lane’s status is uncertain; he has made significant contributions with nine receptions for 239 yards this season.

The Trojans are adapting their play style, utilizing more two tight end sets this season. Running backs Waymond Jordan and Eli Sanders have stepped up to lead the offense in Jackson’s absence, while King Miller has made a strong case for the No. 3 running back position.

In addition to the wide receiver challenges, defensive back Chasen Johnson will miss the entire season due to a serious knee injury. USC is adjusting its defensive strategy and has primarily featured a three-safety look in the backfield.

As they head into this crucial game, Trojan fans hope to see improvements from the team’s younger players and effective strategies from Riley in navigating this period of injuries. The matchup against the Spartans is set for 8 p.m. PT at the Coliseum, and fans are eager to see how the team handles its current roster challenges.
