Los Angeles, CA — Emma Myers, the star of Netflix‘s hit series “Wednesday,” expressed her thoughts after delivering lines in Filipino during the show’s second season. Myers, who portrays Enid Sinclair, the werewolf best friend of Wednesday Addams, discussed her experience in an interview that aired on September 12.

In the sixth episode of the second season, clips of Myers speaking Filipino went viral when her character confronted fellow werewolf Bruno Yuson, played by Noah Taylor, about a woman contacting him. As the story develops, Enid and Bruno grow closer, leading to a heartfelt yet humorous exchange.

During the interview, the scene played in front of Myers, causing her to shyly close her eyes. “Oh my God, I can’t watch this!” she exclaimed, clearly embarrassed. She noted, “I haven’t seen any of this, oh my God, I’m gonna close my eyes!” When she finally saw her performance, she celebrated, stating, “Oh my God, I did it! It’s such a hard language!”

Myers shared that she and Taylor spent time rehearsing their lines outside their trailers, emphasizing the challenge of speaking a foreign language. “The two of us were literally pacing outside, just reciting it. We both really tried!” she recalled. “That was probably the only good take they got of me saying it.”

She continued to admit her nervousness about watching the scene, saying, “Okay, so I was gonna say that it’s not as bad as I thought it would be. I’ve been really nervous to watch the scene! I’m sweating right now!”

The post featuring the interview was captioned on the show’s Instagram account: “she came. she spoke. she conquered.” The role of Bruno is portrayed by Filipino-American teen actor Noah Taylor, who worked diligently to secure the part. With a Filipino mother and an American father, his background adds to the cultural diversity of the cast.

Netflix premiered the first four episodes of the second season of “Wednesday” in August, with the remaining episodes released on September 3. This season follows Wednesday as she returns to Nevermore Academy, facing new challenges and adversaries.
