Anaheim Ducks Preseason Game

Anaheim, California – The Anaheim Ducks continue their preseason schedule tonight as they host the Los Angeles Kings at Honda Center, starting at 7 p.m. PT. This matchup marks the second of four total preseason games between the two teams, with another meeting scheduled for Saturday.

The Ducks are coming off a convincing 6-1 victory against the Utah Mammoth on Monday. Five players scored in the game, with rookie Matthew Phillips leading the charge with two goals. Drew Helleson, Ross Johnston, Ryan Strome, and Beckett Sennecke also found the net, while Helleson and Jackson LaCombe combined for a total of six points. Troy Terry chipped in with two assists.

Defenseman Tristan Luneau expressed the challenges posed by the Kings, noting, “They play fast, they do a lot of things right and they play hard, too. We have to match that energy and bring our own best game.”

Forward Sam Colangelo echoed similar sentiments ahead of the Freeway Faceoff. “The Kings are a hard team to play against, but ultimately that’s what we want teams to be saying about us as well; that we’re a hard team to play against,” Colangelo said. He emphasized the need for better puck management for the Ducks to find success.

The Kings enter tonight’s game with a perfect preseason record of 2-0 after defeating the Ducks in their first contest and the Golden Knights 3-1 on Tuesday. Tonight’s game will be streamed on Victory+, AnaheimDucks.com, and the Honda Center + Ducks mobile app.

This preseason game showcases forwards including Sam Colangelo, Nikita Nesterenko, and Troy Terry, alongside defensemen like Jackson LaCombe and Drew Helleson. Goaltenders Lukas Dostal and Calle Clang will also be in the lineup.
