This label is known for exciting punk and hardcore albums from artists nationwide, while maintaining a commitment to DIY ethics. Releases include music from local bands such as Goon and Public Opinion, as well as projects like Fentanyl and GUMM.
Dark Descent Records, based in Colorado Springs since 2010, is dedicated to vinyl releases for metal bands. The label has put out notable albums from acts like Blood Incantation and houses a broad roster of black metal and death metal groups, increasing Colorado’s hold on underground music genres.
Mean World Records is a newer label that opened its doors in 2023 in Denver, focusing on indie rock. Their roster includes such rising stars as Tiny Tomboy and Shady Oaks, showcasing the diverse talent within the local scene.
Needlejuice Records, established in 2017 in Longmont, specializes in releasing quirky alternative music on physical formats. Founded by Austin Ash Lemon, the label gained recognition for its unique catalog, which includes a solo release from Stephen Jay, known for his work with Weird Al.
