Arizona Wildcats Football Depth Chart Oklahoma State

TUCSON, Arizona — The Arizona Wildcats released their depth chart on Monday as they prepare for their Week 5 game against the Oklahoma State Cowboys at Arizona Stadium.

After suffering a tough 39-14 loss to the No. 14-ranked Iowa State Cyclones in their first Big 12 matchup, the Wildcats are eager to bounce back. Head coach Brennan acknowledged the team’s struggles, citing offensive mistakes and defensive lapses as key issues during the game at Jack Trice Stadium.

The Wildcats aim to rally their home crowd, known as the Zona Zoo, and showcase the ‘Red Line’ mindset this Saturday. Quarterback Noah Fifita will continue to lead the offense, with Braedyn Locke as the backup. During the recent game, Fifita threw for 253 yards and two touchdowns but also faced challenges with two interceptions.

Junior Kedrick Reescano will remain the starting running back, while transfers Ismail Mahdi and Quincy Craig serve as the secondary options. Mahdi performed well against Iowa State, totaling 93 all-purpose yards despite the defeat.

The wide receiver lineup includes Kris Hutson, Javin Whatley, Luke Wysong, and Chris Hunter, with Tre Spivey listed as a co-starter alongside Hunter. The receiving corps struggled to get open against Iowa State but hopes to improve this week.

Sam Olson will start at tight end for the fourth consecutive game after Tyler Powell suffered a season-ending leg injury. On the offensive line, Ty Buchanan and Tristan Bounds are the starting tackles, with Rhino Tapa’atoutai as a co-starter at right tackle.

Defensively, Dalton Johnson and Genesis Smith will start at safety. The cornerback positions will be manned by Marquis Groves-Killebrew, Ayden Garnes, and Michael Dansby. The Wildcats’ linebacking group will feature Taye Brown, Max Harris, and Chase Kennedy.

On special teams, Michael Salgado-Medina will kick field goals, while Isaac Lovison will handle punting duties. Despite a rocky start, coaches believe Salgado-Medina can regain his form.

All positions remain subject to change as the Wildcats prepare to face Oklahoma State this Saturday.
