SAVANNAH, Ga. — The SCAD Savannah Film Festival has announced its full lineup for its 28th annual event, set to run from October 25 to November 1, 2025. The festival will feature a range of films including major releases and panel discussions, making it a vital stop on the awards circuit.

Notable films added to this year’s lineup include Guillermo del Toro‘s “Frankenstein,” Chloé Zhao‘s “Hamnet,” and Yorgos Lanthimos‘ “Bugonia.” This year’s festival will kick off with the A24 drama “Eternity,” directed by David Freyne, featuring stars Elizabeth Olsen, Miles Teller, and Callum Turner in a haunting exploration of the afterlife.

Following the screening of “Eternity,” Miles Teller will receive the Distinguished Performance Award, presented by Oscar winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to film.

The SCAD Savannah Film Festival is known for its impressive screening schedule, boasting 167 films this year, including 56 narrative features, 15 documentary features, and 96 short films, with several world and U.S. premieres.

“Every October, SCAD transforms Savannah into a master class in moviemaking,” said SCAD President Paula Wallace. “Come for the Oscar-bound premieres and stay for the splendor of the South’s most cinematic city.”

This year’s festival will also showcase special presentation screenings, panel discussions, and competitive films from students and professionals. In total, it will feature more than 200 entries, providing a platform for emerging talent and established artists alike.

Highlighted panels will discuss various aspects of cinema, from the art of production design to the intricacies of entertainment law, engaging a diverse audience and fostering industry connections.

As part of the festival’s longstanding tradition, a number of awards will be given out, including the Luminary Award to Will Arnett and the Lifetime Achievement Award to Mark Hamill.
