Israel Hamas Negotiations Egypt

Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt — Indirect talks between Israel and Hamas have made progress, sources close to the Palestinian negotiating team reported on Tuesday. The discussions began on Monday night and lasted about four hours.

“The talks were positive last night,” a source told AFP. “Indirect negotiations are scheduled to resume at noon today.” Another Palestinian source confirmed that negotiations are continuing in the resort town of Sharm El-Sheikh.

According to Egyptian state media outlet Al-Qahera News, the first round concluded in a positive atmosphere, with both parties optimistic about the ongoing discussions.

The talks are focused on a proposal from U.S. President Donald Trump regarding a potential hostage and prisoner exchange, along with a long-term ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

The discussions come amid heightened tensions in the region, with both sides looking for a resolution to ongoing conflict. Further developments are expected as the negotiations unfold throughout the day.
